What I Didn't Say

Morning--I always say that I'm a "morning person."  In many ways, that's true.  I normally like getting up early.  I like being productive as the day begins.  I like getting things out of the way before tool much time passes.  If I get things done early, the rest of the day seems to go much better and there's a whole lot less stress in my life.  If I don't set an alarm, I still wake up quite early in and get up and around.

On the other hand, don't talk to me.  I am not very sociable in the morning.  I tend to be focused on putting together my plan for the day, and I can't be bothered with other people's whims, problems, or desires.  In fact, I can be downright grumpy if my train of thought and intended routines are interrupted.

In that sense, I don't fit many people's definition of a "morning person," because by that term, they mean someone who's bright and cheery when they wake up.  That's not me at all.  So, as they say on the NFL Channel, "You make the call."
