What I Didn't Say
Love--I'm speaking here of God's love. I listened to this sermon, and realized as I listened, how easy it is to preach about God's love. The thing that triggered that thought was the rapidity of my preaching cadence. I would not normally be thought of as a "fast-talker," but I flew through this one. I turned an hour speech into a half hour sermon.
I guess it makes sense, though. God's perfect love is such a pleasing subject, that it sucks us in. We like to hear about it...we like to talk about it...we like to think about it. That's all true because WE are the objects of that love. Who could pass that up. Yet, a lot of people do...unfortunately.
