What I Didn't Say
Choosing Sides--Some people like to say, or at least think, that God is on their side. But Jesus said, "Everyone on the side of truth listens to me." In other words, we need to choose to be on the Lord's side rather than the other way around. God doesn't pick up sides, He calls us to be on His side.
Abraham Lincoln had it right when someone asked him if he thought God was on the side of the north during the American Civil War. He said, "Sir, my concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God's side, for God is always right." Since God has the truth and is the truth, we need to join His side. Not only will this guarantee our victory, it will determine how we play the game.
