What I Didn't Say

Pharisees--These guys must have been real elitists.  The more they come up in the Biblical conversation, the more I think they have been reincarnated as US Senators (not that there's anything wrong with that). 

Divorce--I've been through the pain of one of these, and as they say, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.  I learned first hand why God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16).  It's agonizing.  I don't believe the Lord wants any of His kids to go through that kind of stuff.  Still, like so many other things, we do it to ourselves anyway.

Preachment--I had a great time preaching this sermon.  Anytime I see Jesus getting torqued off at the disciples, it does my heart good.  If St. Peter and the boys were so messed up, there's still hope for me.  Misery loves company!

Little Kids--I've been around a lot of little kids that don't appear to belong in God's Kingdom.  Yet, Jesus says the Kingdom belongs to them.  This is just another example that shows we are not accepted because we're good (thank goodness!).  None of us are good enough.  We probably don't appear to belong in God's Kingdom either.

People keep telling me I'm just an overgrown kid anyway.
