Being a prophet seems like it must have been a really crummy job. They had to tell everyone things they didn't want to hear. I try to do that in the pulpit from time to time. I think I'm getting better at it, but it's only because I've learned how to couch those things in sugar coated language. I would never have made it as one of the Major Prophets. Those guys constantly laid it all on the line in no uncertain terms.
