What I Didn't Say

Nobodies
--David called himself a nobody.  In the grand scheme of things, we are all nobodies.  But there's an old prayer that says..."Lord, I know there's nothing I can face today that is bigger than You and I can't handle together."  We can extrapolate that into the understanding that we are more than nobodies when we are aligned with the Lord of Hosts.  No one is better than us, no one is more able to accomplish God's will.  God always uses nobodies like David, Moses, Peter, and Habakkuk (he even donkeys).

Haters--It's amazing in our current culture how easily a person can get accused of being a "hater."  Frankly, there is enough hate in this world without tossing epithets around at each other.  One example of this began to occur after President Obama was elected.

After we elected the first person of color in our history, one would think we had cleared a major hurdle and things would get even better than they were.  Unfortunately, it seems they have gotten worse.  I've never heard so many people being accused of racism in my entire life than I hear today.  What's wrong with this picture?

If we can be accused of being a hater simply for having a differing opinion (which is what seems to be happening a lot), we can be accused of anything for almost any reason.  As Christians, we know we will be hated, and Jesus told us flat out that we would be reviled because of what we believe and who we believe in.  Be joyful for you are blessed.
