What I Didn't Say
Praise--Sometimes it seems like one of the hardest things to do is praise the Lord. In a utilitarian sense, it doesn't seem to be a practical thing. We don't get instant results...nothing concrete seems to happen...nothing changes... At least that's the immediate perception.
A friend of mine once said that praise is the only thing we can give to the Lord that He didn't give to us first. We can give Him money, but He supplied us with that. We can give Him our lives, but He supplied that as well. He supplies us with vocal chords, tongues, lips, and brains...we can use those to create praise.
Sometimes we don't feel like we have anything for which to praise God. The psalmist calls on us to praise God period. There doesn't have to be anything to praise Him for...simply praise Him.
