PRO-LIFE

There are some issues in the realm of Christian theology and belief that are interesting to discuss, explore, and even debate.  And while I often am willing to put in my two cents, many of these issues are "hills on which I am not willing to die" as some like to say.

One exception to this is the abortion issue.  That IS a hill on which I am willing to die.  Whenever I can, I participate in the annual March for Life in our nation's capital.  I give money to pro-life causes.  And I make no bones about my views on the subject in my preaching.

Each year in the congregation I serve, we observe Sanctity of Life Sunday.  We do this each January just prior to the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision which effectively made abortion legal in our country.  We've recorded some of these and I've referenced them here on this page.

It is not my intent to make a pro-life argument here.  Many others are better equipped and more eloquent in doing so.  However, my belief in this matter is important in understanding who i am as a Christian and a human being.  If you listen to these sermons, I hope my compassion for the preborn, their mothers, and our society in general shines through.
