What I Didn't Say
Worship--It's pretty amazing as to how many different styles and types of worship there are in the church. The history of how all this came to be is really interesting. It's equally amazing as to how we have divided ourselves into sects, denominations, groups and movements because of the different styles we have adopted.
That would be more understandable if we really understood worship. I'm convinced, however, that our understanding is so minuscule we haven't a leg to stand on. Should be be reverent, informal, extremely formal, celebratory, solemn, traditional, or awe-struck? I believe the answer is....wait for it..."yes."
