What I Didn't Say
Surety--I once had a prof in seminary who said the following about a certain Christian philosopher/theologian: "I wish I was as sure of anything as he is of everything." I love that quote. I recently had the opportunity to quote it back to him, so I did it. He didn't respond, so I'm not sure what he thought about my doing so. Regardless of what he thought, I still love that quote.
Virtually nothing in life is sure. The old saying states that death and taxes are sureties, but even they have their exceptions (or at least their possible exceptions). The only sure thing in life is Jesus. At least that's what the apostle thinks. That's what I think as well.
