What I Didn't Say
Trumpet--I have to say, the trumpet is one instrument I never had any desire to learn. There are myriads of instruments I could put on a list of desirables...violin (fiddle actually), bass, piano, flute, and it goes on. Trumpet just doesn't make that list.
Tuba--Believe it or not, I once took tuba lessons. The music teacher in our school needed tuba players for the marching band. He liked me, so he urged me to take lessons from him. (Now that I think of it, maybe he didn't like me so much after all.) Anyway, I caught a break when my parents moved us to another town. Tuba lessons went out the window along with my tuba playing career. I never mentioned that to anyone in my new town. You're among the first to know.
